The Garret Collective and the Center and Library for the Bible and Social Justice (CLBSJ) in collaboration with the Church of the Covenant invite all justice-oriented scholars attending the SBL/AAR Conference in Boston, and all Boston-area activists and faith leaders, to come together for a “Wisdom Circle.” A potluck-style vegan dinner will be served!

April 3, 2026: Via Crucis | Way of the Cross

In partnership with the community in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, we walk with Jesus to the cross on Good Friday in a bilingual procession. Cost of registration covers programming and lunch.

May 28-30, 2026: Notes of Rest Retreat

The Notes of Rest Retreat will be a time of extended reflection on your sabbath practice as a means of spiritual transformation. Led by artist-theologian Julian Davis Reid and in partnership with Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, we’ll receive from God through classical spiritual disciplines such as sacred reading and extended silence. Cost includes meals, housing, and programming.
