Ways to Give

Your Generosity Today Equips Faithful Leaders for Tomorrow

For over 172 years, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary has been preparing bold, faithful, and imaginative leaders who embody God’s love and justice in the world. This vital mission is made possible through the generosity of alumni, friends, churches, foundations, and partners.

Your gifts—whether annual or planned, restricted or unrestricted—sustain scholarships, strengthen our faculty, support innovative programs, and ensure our facilities remain places of learning and transformation. Together, we can ensure Garrett continues forming leaders who embody God’s love and justice in a world in need.

One Mission, Numerous Ways to Give

Your annual gift each fiscal year shows your pride in Garrett-Evangelical, and it gives the next generation of religious leaders the same opportunity. Such gifts can be made by check, by credit card, or by electronic transfer from your bank to ours.

Monthly gifts provide a steady stream of income and allow the donor to make smaller gifts that add up to a larger gift over the course of a year. Such gifts can be made by check, by credit card, or by electronic transfer from your bank to ours.

“We never took our education or scholarships for granted. Someone donated to the school because they believed that was one way to serve God and help others. We want to do the same thing.”

Rev. Ran Yoo (G-ETS 2016) and Rev. Kook Ho Kim (G-ETS 2015)

“I think it is critical to create scholarships because it allows you to make your mark on someone’s life permanently. If you’ve been effective, successful, and faithful, you ought to give back. It’s a way to leave a legacy beyond your work.”

Rev. Dr. Charley Hames, Jr. (G-ETS 2000)

“This is how you can make a difference. This is how you can make sure that the next generation is prepared in a way that they can be effective leaders and that they can help heal the church.”

Rev. Steven Poole (G-ETS 1986)

“Seminary was everything I wanted it to be. I was the first in my family to go to college, and then to go to graduate school, people couldn’t believe it … I know that other Black women have dreams, just like I had, and I want to help make them come true.”

Rev. Harlene Harden (G-ETS 1994)
