A vibrant community is central to spiritual and academic formation. Garrett supports an enriched student experience with holistic resources for faith, wellness, and vocational discernment.
Along with weekly worship, multiple sacred spaces for prayer and rest, our Student Life Office maintains a list of Spiritual Directors in the Chicago area who are trained and available to our students.
Co-curricular activities are a key part of one’s seminary experience at Garrett. Through our numerous student organizations and student council, you will experience community and hone your leadership skills. Our Office of Student Life offers opportunities to learn about faith around the globe, chances to visit locations around Chicagoland on field trips, and connection and spiritual development through our weekly chapel services and other regular opportunities.
The Dean of Students Office, located on the 2nd Floor of the Main Building outside of the Chapel of the Unnamed Chapel, is here to assist you in several ways, from campus resources to student life events. Most of all, always know that our office is here to advocate for your success and to provide the appropriate assistance to make your success a reality and your time here at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary rewarding.
