Career Plans
Lord willing, I will follow my call to become an Elder in full connection in the United Methodist Church.

Personal Information
I am a transgenerational Korean-American.  I was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the United States when I was three years old.  I have been a resident of the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago ever since and have become an avid Bears fan!

In my spare time I enjoy viewing paintings, photography, graphic design, sculpture, nature, and all of the aesthetics there is to see in God’s good creation. I love sports but would much rather participate in them than watch them. Last, but certainly not least, I love the life that I enjoy with my wife and son that God has blessed me with. My wife Ann and I have an opera singing four year old who loves garbage trucks and wearing formal clothing. His name is Jeremiah.

Attraction to Garrett-Evangelical
The initial attraction to Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary was the administrative staff, especially the admissions department. What I have come to discover is that the whole of Garrett-Evangelical – the environment, students, faculty, and curriculum – have cemented my desire to remain at this terrific seminary.

I believe that God has called me to serve Jesus with all of my life. I didn’t think that it was possible that God would call me into full time ministry, much less to become an ordained clergyman. However, when I finally gave in to the promptings of my heart, I enrolled at Garrett-Evangelical and I haven’t looked back since.
