The Office of Vocational Networking exists to support students as they discover and live out their vocation. Our goal is that by the time you graduate from Garrett-Evangelical, you feel that you have the resources and the support to thrive in the unique ministry to which God has called you.
All incoming students have the opportunity to be paired with a Garrett alum who has shared vocational interests and gifts. This alum will be your partner in vocational discernment and development throughout your degree program.
We sponsor field trips to introduce students to new forms of vocational ministry, like military chaplaincy, church planting, non-profits, and more.
This series of co-curricular workshops provide tools and skills needed for fruitful and effective leadership and ministry that fall outside the scope of the academic curriculum.
The Office of Vocational Networking provides traditional career services assistance, including one-on-one vocational planning for all students and job placement assistance for graduating students.
Garrett has partnered with Handshake, a career management platform that can help you discover career paths, find amazing jobs, and network with other ministry professionals. Access to Handshake is provided by as a part of the vocational resources we offer to all Garrett students and alums.
Handshake is a powerful, modern platform that enables employers to search for and manage relationships with top talent at schools across the country. Through your Handshake account, you will be able to post jobs, schedule interviews, collect resumes, and more! Garrett uses Handshake as an online job board system to help Garrett students and alumni find full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities.
