In partnership with local congregations, universities, and juvenile justice facilities, the The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) Freedom Schools® program boosts student motivation to read and learn, increases self-esteem and connects the needs of children and families to the resources of their communities.
We welcome your support in helping young scholars fall in love with reading. Your contributions to our program will help to pay for Integrated Reading Curriculum libraries for six classrooms and one resource library for 60 children; stipends for the eight Servant Leader Interns and the Project Director and Site Coordinator; program expenses including classroom supplies, afternoon activities, field trips and parent meetings; and more. Thank you for your investment in the lives of children!
