Rev. Dr. Marti Lundy has made her home in Indiana as a pastor and leader in the community. She received her Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1993. At George Fox Theological Seminary, she received her Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Spiritual Formation in 2008. Her dissertation, “Offering Hope: Providing Ministry to the Chronically Ill” works to inform churches on how to better care for people with chronic illness.

Dr. Lundy is currently the Senior Pastor of Evangelical United Methodist Church (EUM) in Huntington, Indiana and has been there since 2000. In her time at EUM, she has more than doubled worship attendance, led a capital campaign, coordinated a building remodeling project, and increased participation in church groups. She also spearheaded a community outreach program called Mission Huntington where members of the church go out and bear witness to the needs of their community through various service projects.

Currently, Dr. Lundy serves as the Chair of the Northeast District Committee on Ministry and the Secretary of the Episcopacy Committee for the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church. Prior to serving at EUM, she was appointed to Robinson Chapel United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne and served there for seven years.

Alongside her work at the church, Dr. Lundy serves her community as an active participant in the Harmony Initiative, a group through Huntington University comprised of local leaders to inspire community diversity and inclusion. Recently, she was selected as the Indiana Bicentennial Torchbearer in recognition of her outstanding service in the community.

Dr. Lundy is married to Rev. Kent Lundy, who is a Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary alumnus. Together, they have two sons, Joshua and Nathan.
