They Were All Together in One Place: An Inter-Center Gathering

March 31, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

faculty and students sitting and talking

The pandemic has clearly taught us that we, the racially minorized, need to care for each other more than ever. To set the tone for a post-pandemic world we hope to live in and flourish, the Center for Asian/Asian American Ministry, Hispanic-Latinx Center, and the Center for the Church and Black Experience are organizing an inter-center gathering in which we share our thoughts on where we have been, how we are doing currently, and what we envision for the future.

We have invited Dr. Wonhee Anne Joh, Dr. Débora Junker, and Dr. Cheryl Anderson to speak with us on their thoughts about racial reconciliation and cooperation in regards to combating racism and inter-racial cooperation against other -isms.

This gathering will also center itself with food fellowship where we will break bread as an expression of our commitment for a supportive and reconciling community at Garrett. We invite students, staff, faculty, and alumni members to this event.

Please register for this event for the event’s Zoom link and meal fellowship. The Zoom link will be emailed to all who register the morning of March 31, 2022.
