Sacred Spaces: Storytelling, Peacemaking, and Pilgrimage for Young Adult Leadership
November 6 @ 7:00 pm - November 7 @ 4:00 pm

We are thrilled to welcome writer, poet, and speaker Cole Arthur Riley, author of Black Liturgies and This Here Flesh, as our opening speaker on Thursday night, November 6 at 7:00 pm. Books will be sold at the event and Cole will be staying after the event to do a book signing.
Friday morning November 7, the YAI will host a young alumni networking breakfast on campus. All young alumni (you decide how young you are!) are invited to have breakfast together in a casual environment where you can connect, re-connect, and enjoy each other’s company.
At 11:00 a.m., come to a panel of educators and young adults who participated in a retreat in Ireland with the Young Adult Initiative. Teachers and students will discuss their experiences in Nothern Ireland and what they have learned about Young Adult Leadership through the lens of peacemaking and storytelling. Retreat hosts Gareth Higgins and Brian Ammons plan to participate via Teams.
Please join us for lunch at 12:30 on campus
At 2:00 pm, a panel of young adults discuss their experiences and what they learned about young adult leadership being part of a Young Adult Initiative-sponsored pilgrimage on St. Cuthbert’s Way in Northumbria, UK with Saio Journeys.
All are welcome to attend a conference November 6-7 sponsored by the Young Adult Initiative at Garrett Seminary. The conference is free to attend, but registration is required.
