Invest in yourself with short, accessible courses that strengthen your gifts and spark new learning.
Garrett Collective
We believe that personal, professional, and spiritual formation does not begin or end with a degree. It is a lifelong learning process that engages with present-day realities and looks ahead with hope, imagination, and a deep commitment to do all the good one can. With continuing education courses, workshops, certificates, webinars, resources and more, there is something for everyone.
Curious about a subject or needing skills in a new area? Interested in pursuing another degree but not totally sure? Students can take up to 5 courses for enrichment, either for credit or as an auditor.
A DMin Teaches New Skills to Empower Black Church Leaders
The program dedicates particular focus to expanding churches’ social impact, grounded in an understanding that congregations’ collaboration with their wider community often determines the gospel’s reach. “The Black Church has always been more than a place of worship,” says Dr. Blount.
When Rev. Moises Mendez accepted a pastoral position, he wasn’t just answering a call to ministry—he was returning to serve the people who raised him.
"I’m right back in the place where I started.” Rev. Moises Mendez returned home to Chicagoland to create Hope Center Blue Island, which has helped empower thousands of people by alleviating food insecurity and providing vocational training. "I want to use my dissertation to provide robust solutions for problems right here in Chicago."
“When I first felt the call, it was like every door was closed. Then, I decided, ‘Yes, I’m going to do this,’ and suddenly those closed doors started opening.” Benjiman Durfee, M.Div. student
"Suddenly, closed doors started opening." Benjiman Durfee never thought he could pursue ordination. The time and financial demands were just too much, and he didn't want to leave the congregation he serves as a licensed local pastor. Then, he learned that Garrett offers a fully online M.Div. program, and generous scholarship assistance. Click the link below to read more about his journey, and how he's following God's call!
