CBE Alums

In honor of the Center for the Church and the Black Experience’s 45th Anniversary, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary is recognizing 45 Outstanding Black Alums who were nominated by their fellow alums, peers, and the administration. Each of the 45 have engaged in ministries that make an impact and we encourage you to read more about each of our alums. You can read about all of our 45 Outstanding Black Alums at!

Since its founding in 1970, the Center for the Church and the Black Experience has empowered and trained persons to be prophetic "leaders of leaders" for the African American religious community and society-at-large. Today, CBE alumni continue to greatly impact the church, the academy, and the world
