It is hard to imagine seminarians finding time to produce, edit, and promote a podcast in between classes, jobs, studying, and field education, but that’s just what Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary Master of Divinity students Jordan Aspiras and Sarah DeHaan have been doing since July 2020 with their podcast, Mixed Kids Ministry.

Dr. Jaeyeon Lucy Chung, assistant professor of pastoral theology and director of the Styberg Library at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, has received a grant from the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion to fund her pedagogical project titled, “Spiritual Care Lab as an Experiential and Engaged Learning Model.” After completing the 2020-2021 Wabash Teaching and Learning Workshop for Early Career Theological School Faculty in July, Chung was one of 14 faculty invited to submit a proposal.

Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary has been awarded a Science for Seminaries Seed Grant from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion (DoSER) program. The grant will help fund the “Race, Technology, and Healing: Science and Religion in Dialogue” project led by Dr. Rolf Nolasco, Jr., Rueben P. Job professor of spiritual formation and pastoral theology, and Dr. Wonhee Anne Joh, professor of theology and culture.
