LECTURE | #Adulting and the Spiritual Yearnings of Millennials

Dr. Reginald Blount, assistant professor of formation, youth, and culture at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, will present his sabbatical lecture, "#Adulting and the Spiritual Yearnings of Millennials" on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 11:10 a.m. in Room 205. This lecture is free and open to the public.

For many Millennials, the word “Adulting” is now a verb, which means to behave in an adult manner or engage in activities related with adulthood. For many, the work of adulting impacts every aspect of their lives including their spiritual life. Drawing from ethnographic work recently completed by Garrett-Evangelical’s Holy Listening, Holy Yearnings, Holy Partnerships Young Adult Initiative Dr. Blount will share the voices of young adults as they shared their concerns and yearnings for the church and their own faith development and offer some emerging possibilities for congregations who desire to engage in ministry with the Millennial generation.
