Through the Doctor of Ministry in Preaching as Leadership in Hispanic/Latinx Congregations track you will earn both a Doctor of Ministry from Garrett-Evangelical and a certificate in nonprofit management from the Center for Nonprofit Management, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Through this unique partnership, the seminars at the Center for Nonprofit Management will teach the necessary financial tools with greater opportunities for DMin students to link their learnings to their ministries. DMin students in this track will get the best of leadership and financial training and theological education from two renowned institutions through a set of prescribed and elective courses.
The Center for Nonprofit seminars will be taught in English, but, thanks to a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., Spanish translations of all written materials will be provided to our DMin in Preaching as Leadership in Hispanic/Latinx Congregations students. There will also be a bilingual leader who will attend the seminars and work with students during break outs to process the seminar material for use in the students' ministry sites. Courses taught at Garrett-Evangelical will be taught bilingually, with a focus on being taught in Spanish, to make it possible for students to gain communication skills in the language they use in their ministries.
The Kellogg Executive Scholars program provides a practical, flexible, yet academically rigorous way to achieve your specific professional goals. For a current listing of courses through the Center for Nonprofit Management at Kellogg School of Management, click here.
