Congratulations to the class of 2015! This year 75 students received degrees from Garrett-Evangelical, and we commend them on their fine work and their future ministries. In this issue of Aware Magazine you'll meet seven of our graduates who are going forth to live out God’s call to serve the church, academy, and world.

In addition, you'll read about our commencement speaker, Alex Kotlowitz, and our two newest distinguished alums, Franz Rigert (G-ETS 1992) and Samuel Phillips (GBI 1958).

Be sure to check out the Cutting Edges article by Assistant Professor of Hebrew Scripture, Dr. Brooke Lester. Titled "Black Lives Matter: An Allusive Outro to 2014-15," Dr. Lester looks at the impact of the #BlackLivesMatter movement on his syllabi and draws connections to Daniel, Isaiah, and Paul.
