Attraction to Garrett-Evangelical
I was drawn to Garrett-Evangelical for several reasons, but the reason it became the school of my dreams is the staff. When I say that the halls of Garrett-Evangelical feel like home, I mean it’s the same feeling I get when I walk into my parents’ home. It’s truly a privilege to be here; I love this place already.
Personal Information
I love cooking and fellowshipping with friends and family. I believe sharing a meal with those you love keeps the heart open to the Holy Spirit. I am the proud grandson of a Garrett alumna, Rev. Hilda Harris. Considering my feet are bigger than my grandmother’s, I guess I will not be able to fit into her shoes. I love laughing with friends. I believe laughter keeps us young.
Calling
My calling as I understand it thus far is to pastoral ministry. My passion is to help God’s people develop their relationship with our creator through Jesus Christ and the study of scripture. I hope to return to the Detroit Conference. The city of Detroit is currently struggling in many areas, but I have faith that God has not forgotten the faithful in those communities.
My favorite thing about Garrett-Evangelical so far
There are so many different cultures represented at Garrett Evangelical. I am in love with God on another level because of the different theological perspectives shared by my fellow students.
