Stead Center Series on Globalization

November 2, 2011:

Dr. Daniel Yergin

The Jerre L. and Mary Joy Stead Center for Ethics and Values:

  • Promotes moral and theological inquiry into a broad range of ethical issues. Housed at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary on the campus of Northwestern University, the Stead Center sponsors lectures, conferences, colloquia, seminars, and forums to explore and illuminate current ethical dilemmas.
  • Is based on the proposition that faith communities are central areas for moral formation. Since religious leaders are also public moral leaders, the Center seeks to strengthen their ministries of ethical leadership.
  • Sponsors programs in conjunction with selected congregations and religious organizations, businesses, seminaries, and professional schools. The Center also serves as a resource for the faculty of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary to promote the teaching of ethics across the curriculum.
