Center for the Church and the Black Experience Black History Month Series

EVANSTON, Ill., January 2010 -The Center for the Church and the Black Experience has organized a panel series during Black History Month at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary on four compelling topics related to Black Church Ministries in "Post-Racial" America.

bhm-adThe underlying issue for each panel and for the series in general is that many social factors that helped define purpose and identity for black churches through the mid-20th century have been called into question by cultural, ideological, and demographic shifts occurring in recent decades.

All four events will be available live via webcasts. Those interested can go to www.garrett.edu within 30 minutes of the event and follow log-in instructions on the home page.
