Certification in Youth Ministry
Receiving this certification is the denomination's recognition that you - whether lay or clergy, whether deacon or elder - have met the required standards for academic training and experience necessary to achieve professional excellence in Youth Ministry. During the coursework you will gain a broader perspective and be empowered to serve the youth of your church more effectively than ever before. Plus, you will form a network across the denomination that will be a resource for you for the rest of your life.
Garrett-Evangelical cooperates with The United Methodist Church by providing courses that meet the educational requirements for professional certification. A student in an MDiv or MA program may complete certification requirements through five courses in a professional specialization, plus field education and United Methodist Studies.
