Course of Study
To all God's beloved, and especially those called to ministry as local pastors:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
With the ancient apostolic greeting we welcome you to Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary's Course of Study School. Our goal is to develop bold local pastor leaders for the United Methodist Church and the world through a quality educational and formational experience.
Our school provides a high quality education in three languages: English, Spanish and Hmong. This gives us opportunities for learning in a community with multi-cultural presence and activities to help clergy shape their practice of ministry in an increasingly diverse context.
The Garrett-Evangelical Course of Study School follows a residential model, meeting in the last three weeks of July every year. Sessions vary in length, depending upon the plans formulated by the faculty of each language school. Currently this means two sessions in English spanning the three weeks and one two-week session in Spanish or Hmong. Scheduling details are found by following the link at the bottom of this page.
With our strong and committed faculty, multi-cultural nature, and excellent student leadership, the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary Course of Study School offers an experience of academic, spiritual and personal formation that will prepare you for taking your place as a bold and effective leader in Christ's Church.
