In 1853, with the financial support of Eliza Garrett and the vision of a group of Methodist leaders, the foundation was laid for Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (then known as Garrett Biblical Institute). In 2013, Garrett-Evangelical will celebrate 160 years of creating skilled, bold, and articulate leaders for the church, the academy, and the world. You will be invited to the celebrations ahead. There will be laughter, music, fine preaching, and good lectures to commemorate the seminary’s 160 years of service.  Stay tuned for more information in the months and days to come.

As a part of our celebrations, we are asking you for nominations of individuals who have exemplified bold leadership through their work in the church, academy, or world. To learn more and nominate a person, click on 160 Great Alumni.  In addition, we are collecting acts of kindness stories from students, faculty, staff, and friends of the seminary. One hundred and sixty stories to be exact. We encourage you to share your story by clicking on 160 Acts of Kindness.

What an incredible legacy has been entrusted to us. Together we can continue to extend Garrett-Evangelical’s place as a premier provider of theological education for the nation and world. You can help ensure Garrett-Evangelical's future for the next 160 years by becoming one of our cherished donors.
