Reunions

The Garrett-Evangelical community cordially invites the 1963 graduates of Garrett Theological Seminary and Evangelical Theological Seminary to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of your commencment. One-half century has brought great change, but one constant remains - the legacy of Christian commitment and spiritual nurture that were hallmarks of these excellent institutions.

The Class of 1963's 50th Reunion will by held on May 16-17, 2013, in conjunction with graduation.  For additional information and to register for this exciting event please use the links below.

Graduations

The 2012 Commencement was held on May 11, 2012 at 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 516 Church Street, Evanston, Illinois.  Dr. Richard Gunderman, professor at Indiana University and president of the faculty at Indiana University School of Medicine, delivered the address at Garrett-Evangelical's 155th commencement.

Distinguished Alums

The Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary board of trustees may annually select two alums for the Distinguished Alum award:

  • a graduate of more than twenty-five years ago;
  • a graduate of twenty-five years or less.

Consideration shall be given to persons with a record of outstanding ministry in a diversity of settings. The awards shall be given to graduates of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary or its parent bodies Garrett Biblical Institute, Garrett Theological Seminary, Evangelical Theological Seminary, or the Chicago Training School.

Nominations are now invited for the 2014 Distinguished Alum Awards. Please submit your Distinguished Alums Nomination Form by June 30, 2013.

Alternatively, you may request a transcript by completing this form and mailing or faxing it to the registrar. Your signature is required. Requests cannot be taken over the phone. The first transcript is free; subsequent copies cost $5.00 each. In an emergency, a transcript may be faxed for an additional $3.00, in addition to the $5.00 mailed copy.
