I have consistent access to a high-speed (DSL or cable) internet
connection. True True True True True True I can use email, browse the Web, use word-processing applications, and I
can download files and add attachments to emails. I am a rapid and accurate “touch typer.” True I need to allot 1 or 2 large blocks of time for my weekly course work. I have found face-to-face instruction helpful, but I am also already

face-to-face time, or a face-to-face course with significant, frequent
online interactive tasks. I think online learning may suit me, or hope it may be more convenient for
me.

Your score: 86 If you scored... 91–100: You are a good candidate for online learning! 76–90: You are probably a good candidate for online learning, but before taking an online course, you should examine your answers to see where you have “gaps” in your preparation. 51–75: At this time, you would be at a disadvantage in an online learning environment. You could become a good candidate for online learning, but definitely have some skill sets to develop first. Put some real time into these, and then measure yourself against the quiz again before taking an online course. 00–50: At this time, you would be at a serious disadvantage in an online learning environment. For now, plan on sticking with face-to-face instruction. If you feel you need to consider online instruction, first seek assistance in preparation from peers or from a school’s admissions office. |
